May 21, a rainy Sunday... 22th a rainy Monday....

YES, two days rain! Unbelievable, 48 hour rain. 

So, we decided to work our program out, only faster. The weather forcast was bad, there was a line rain exact on our route.

We let Memphis behind us and we drove to Lexington in Kentucky. In the afternoon started a signal light in the car with the text:' search fast a dealer for changing the engine oil'. I called Herz direct after installating our luggage in our room. 

Top service, they changed the car. The Chevrolet Malibu was history et the Nissan Roque started its life with us.

The next morning it was still raining. We left the hotel and we drove to Hagerstown in West Virginia. In the meantime we had contact with Cherie, our friend who is living near Phily.

We made with her the appointment that we should meet eachother again at her home  Monday. 

Monday morning, still raining, we started our day with shopping in the Simons outlet centre. After the lunch we drove to Cherie, her two kids, Gaby and Niko, a twin, and her husband Peter. We had a fantastic afternoon and evening. Unforgettable! Cherie made a fantastic dinner. We enjoyed the visit very much! Merci Cherie!!

We drove those days a lot of miles, total 748 miles, is 1204 km.

Today, tuesday, the 23th of May, we drove to  the Big Apple. It was not raining anymore. !!!Our hotel is this time in Ridgefield, close to Manhattan. We spent the afternoon in the city.

We drove 161 mls is 259 km.
