Thursday the 25th.

Good morning! We woke up, it was raining.....

After the breakfast we left the hotel for a museum day! Nice when its raining. The first was Guggenheim on the 5th Ave. We parked the car and walked to the museum. Surprise! Closed! Only schools, no we!!!

Oké, back to the car and we drove to the Moma. There was again a surprise; all the tourists had the same idea.... the waiting time to buy a ticket.... more than one hour.

We looked to eachother and we agree to start plan B. Walking in the neighbourhood. Wet but the only solution. 

It was a good reason to start a bit earlyer with our "Apéro". We found a perfect place: Rue 57, an Italian Restaurant. We had there a nice time with a perfect tastful lunch.

Rockefeller Plaza was our next goal, but first a small visit to the Apple shop. We arrived by the place from Apple, but ..... the glass shop is history! No Unique shop anymore, the shop is now in the builing behind the formel shop. Pity.

On our way we passed the Trump building. Heavy garded, but it was possible to visit the tower, so we did.

Rockefeller Plaza has a piece of art from Jeff Koons. This artist made ;"The sitting Ballerina". A statue for all the missing kids. And that are a lot kids, we saw a list by Walmart, unbelievable. But the statue, from plastic and air, was through the rain a bit extra sad.

We closed the day with a visit to Burlington. A outlet shop with all the great brands. Sylvette was very happy to find a Michel Kors handbag.

We had a  beautiful day, even witht the rain and without the musea. We drove 32 mls =  51 km and we walked 7,6 km.
